23rd December:
On
the Edge in India
After initial research, In
2014 Children on the Edge will be beginning new work in the State of Bihar, India
helping to educate the children of the lowest caste of people in this area.
This caste is seen as the
lowest of the low and condemned to the very bottom of the social pile. The
caste live in extremely poor conditions surrounded by filth and surviving on a
diet of rats. Children show serious signs of malnourishment are overlooked and
often abused.
With no opportunity for
learning, the girls are severely vulnerable to trafficking, a fate the
organisation wants to prevent by providing an education.
Bid for our ISAK advent
package now to support this valuable work.
