Share the love

Another bit of Flickring today... and we found these images and just had to share them. Its so lovely to se other peoples images of our products! Thank you!

Silly Dilly

One day last week we had an early midsummer lunch. Potatoes boiled in salt and dill, pickeld herring and sourcream with chives. Not to forget the schnapps of course!

Old & New

Hi Theres! Thanks for the photo of an old Leaf decorated wooden topped jar and our Leaf decorated oak lidded cup. Anyone know who made the old jar?

Hello breadboard!

We've been Flickring... and found this great image! ( By  love_yellow) She's been making rye bread from Ikea. (Comes as a mix in a pack and then you add stuff.) We're going to try it next time we're home sick and go for a little bit of home comforting in Southamptons new Ikea store.

In good company!

Found these two images on Flickr today ( by rubbad) and had to post them here. The leaf tray/ plate is a vintage Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg. And the Isak cup is the first cup that we made back when we started, so I guess, in some ways our cup is a bit vintage as well! We are very flattered we're next to Stig! And aren't the graphics on the rape seed oil fab?

Lille Lykke

Welcome to Caroline Sleijffers and her store of "small happiness", Lille Lykke, in Rotterdam. Caroline was so inspired by Scandinavian design during a visit that she decided she had to make it available to her fellow compatriots in the Netherlands. We wish her every success...

Bambino Goodies

The lovely Natalie from Bambino Goodies  wrote a lovely little piece on us. Thanks Natalie!
You can read it here:http: //www.bambinogoodies.co.uk/room-candy-edens-scandinavian-isak-room/
Eden's grown a little since this picture was taken, especially his hair... :)

BBQ and Wine

For those of you BBQ-ing today, which we assume is everyone! Here are a couple of tips from our BBQ last night. Free range gorgeously succulent pork chops with garlic and rosemary from the herb patch and beautifully fresh BBQ roasted english asparagus with lemon butter squeeze. And to wash down the pork juices we had a couple of very nice wines from Waitrose. 2009 Talumba Organic Shiraz from Australia and a hand picked 2009 Jerusalem Ormoz Pinot Grigio from Slovenia (both on offer and well under a tenner!). Yum-yum. Any suggestions for our BBQ tonight will be very welcome...

Name up date

We're having some great suggestions coming in! Keep them coming though - we haven't quite decided yet. Some great names were generated last night. Thanks Paul and Monica and Monja! The suggestion Cosmo turned in to Cosmic. The norwegian suggestion of Egil turned into Eagle and there we go - Cosmic Eagle! What a name! But... the pressure of having to live up to that name, nah, we can't be that cruel, can we?

Dragonfly Summer Top

The sunshine has arrived and it will be a warm weekend at last! To celebrate we will release the 100% cotton, lightweight summer top, with Dragonfly pattern print. Now available in the ISAK shop.

What's in a name?!

The newest ISAK Baby needs a name! Please any suggestions. He will be very grateful and will send you some exclusive ISAK goodies if he picks your suggestion. We know this sounds mercenary but we can't keep calling him "Baby!"

Sunbathing?

It was such a beautiful day yesterday that Inger & Olle moved outside under the palm tree for a spot of sunbathing. Certainly brightened up the office garden... We really need to make some pants to match those in the poster, what do you think?

Ceanothus

The Ceanothus enveloping our shed fixes nitrogen in nodules beneath the soil for other plants to use. How jolly nice of it! It also looks beautiful this time of year...

Blue Bird Mug

A beautiful morning for a tea break in the office garden with the Bird Mugs and a sneak preview of the Familjen tablecloth...

Spring sunshine!

Ah, finally some sun and warmth! We've been late allotmenting this year and the Isak beetroots haven't grown a millimeter in 3 weeks. Today they will shoot up! We're haing a problem with snails as well... they've had a good nibble at the chilli plants, the peas and even the strawberry leaves. Grandma told us to smear the pots with vaseline to keep the slugs and the snails off. Last years tip of scattering crushed egg shells on top of the soil didn't do the trick. Lets see if this works!

And today it's time for the Dutch one! You will be able to read about what Isak is up to in your country. ( As long as you're Swedish, Norwegian or Dutch... There will be more blogs in other languages and countries to follow. )

Free ISAK Cards for all

We all love what we do at ISAK. We create beautiful happy things, and it gives us immense satisfaction that other people enjoy our designs. ISAK has been sold in over 100 countries and it fascinates us that our little creations are being used the world over. We would love to see some images of any ISAK products out there in the real world. So please send in any images you have of any ISAK products. To show our gratitude we will send out a pack of ISAK cards to every person who sends in an image. These cards are not available for sale in our store and show 5 ISAK designs; Leaf, Landsby, Lovebird, 123 and Blossom & Bill.

We may use the image on our blog or gallery page as well. So please take a couple of snaps and mail them to info@isak.co.uk with your name and address so we can send you some cards. We don't mind if you get creative, if they are in exotic locations or just sat on a window ledge, we want to see them all! Thanks.
